The Cinemathon was in support of the non-profit organisation Focus Ireland. Entertainment.ie's fantastic Movies Editor Brian Llyod hosted the event and kept the audience in good spirit. With thanks to the people who partook and with help of the public's support and generous donations, the Cinemathon raised a whopping €15,200!
Entertainment.ie's Cinemathon saw guests sit through 25-hours of movies in aid of Focus Ireland. Each and every guest raised money for Focus Ireland, a non-profit organisation that provides services for homeless people.
Sarah was one of many who stayed awake at the fundraiser for a brilliant 25 hours!
All different members of staff got involved at the fundraiser, including talented Video Producer Ultan!
Seeing as guests were sat through 25 hours of film, some had to succumb to a power nap through-out the night, but that was perfectly alright, because they were woken up with some healthy jogging on the spot and stretches!
Guests saw not only films at the Cinemathon, but were treated to an amazing saxophone performance AND a Mamma Mia themed drag-performance!
Heeeeere's Johnny! The Shining was shown late at night, giving guests a truly terrifying experience. Stanley Kubrick's grand-daughter also made an appearance on the night!
