The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Alison Gilliland, is inviting everyone to join in celebrating the contributions and achievements of women past and present this Brigid's day for Brigit 2022: Dublin City Celebrating Women.
Irish Women are simply amazing. Their roles may have varied over the years, yet they still remain a crucial pillar of this country, and Brigit 202 is delighted to be celebrating that.

Women have often been ridiculed for liking traditionally feminine things, such as fashion and arts. Brigit 2022 aims to celebrate enjoying these feminine things by showcasing a walking tour of female-produced art around the city. Pictured are two women posing outside of Lucy's Lounge in Temple Bar, which is known for it's bright pink building and eccentric and unique grafitti.
Throughout the Brigit 2022 celebration, there will be events for people to attend to learn more about the Herstory of women in Ireland. Various buildings will be lit up with imagery of Irish women. Pictured is St. Brigit herself, who was the Celtic goddess of arts, healing and divination.
Pictured are just some of the women in this country with amazing musical talent. There will be plenty of music events to attend, with the Spring Rise music event taking place at The Round Room at the Mansion House.
The We Were There, We Are Here event celebrates women in Irish Politics. Women in Politics have had a major impact on the country, and will be celebrated throughout this event for their contributions to making this country what it is today.
