Jane Campion won the prestigious Best Director Oscar, being the third woman ever to do so. Ariana DeBose made history as the first openly queer woman of colour to win an acting Oscar, and one film in-particular took home FIVE different awards. However, all this was over-shadowed by violence on the night.
