Hey You
'You' season 3 is set to drop on Netflix later this year. Character synopses have given us a few details on what to expect will happen in it. Here's everything we know so far.
The second season of 'You' left us on a cliffhanger as Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) moved in with his pregnant girlfriend Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti - 'The Haunting of Bly Manor'). However a woman who lives next door catches his eye.
Badglet and Pedretti will return as the leads.
We also now know the mystery woman is named Natalie, and she'll be played by Michaela McManus. The character has been described as Joe's "new subject of obsession, who harbors a secretive life."
Another returning cast member is Saffron Burrows, who plays Dottie, Love's mother. Mourning the loss of her son, Quinn's brother, Dottie now pours her attention into her daughter and new grandchild.
New characters in 'You' season 3 will include Sherry (played by Shalita Grant), a locally famous "mom influencer". Scott Speedman will play Matthew, an affluent CEO, husband and withdrawn father.
Other new additions include Theo (Dylan Arnold), a college student with a strained and complicated relationship with his stepfather. There's also a smart, no-nonsense librarian (Joe does love his books, after all) named Marienne (Tati Gabrielle) and working alongside her, Dante (Ben Mehl), a former war veteran.
Another series regular is Cary (Travis Van Winkle), described as wealthy and charismatic. He runs his own supplement company.
There's lots more parents in the community that Joe and Love will have to contend with too.
They include Kiki (Shannon Chan-Kent), a devoted member of Sherry’s “mean girl” friend group; her husband, Brandon (Christopher Sean); Andrew (Christopher O'Shea), a fit stay-at-home dad and admirer of Sherry’s clique; Jackson (Bryan Safi), Andrew's wry but loving husband; and Ryan (Scott Michael Foster), a well-respected single father and local TV reporter.
Foster is the latest addition to the 'You' season 3 cast. He previously starred in 'My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend'.
We also know Joe and Quinn's relationship hits something of a snag as they see a couple's therapist, Dr. Chandra (Ayelet Zurer).
And we know there'll be flashbacks to Joe's childhood (presumably in therapy?) as Jack Fisher has been cast as young Joe, while Mauricio Lara plays Paulie, a close friend of Joe in his formative years.
A more enigmatic character as to his role is a friendly geology teacher named Gil (Mackenzie Astin).
We also know that Netflix has ordered 10 episodes of the series and the title of the first one is "And They Lived Happily Ever After." It has commenced production.
A release date for 'You' season 3 has yet to be announced.
