It would be easy to get a bit fed up with all the futuristic dystopian movie and TV shows dished out recently from Blade Runner 2049 to Black Mirror and Netflix's latest sci-fi series Altered Carbon, however this upcoming flick from the streaming service has Duncan Jones behind it, the visionary director behind Moon and Source Code (and the late David Bowie's son), so we will give it a chance.
Set in Berlin in 2052, it stars Emmy winning actor Alexander Skarsgård (Big Little Lies) as Leo, a man who is unable to speak following a childhood accident and is searching for his missing girlfriend. As he seeks answers, Leo finds himself mixed up with Cactus Bill (Paul Rudd) and Duck (Justin Theroux), a pair of irreverent US army surgeons on a mission all of their own.
Mute will be released on Netflix on 23rd February 2018.
