This week's episode zips forward to the '70s.

If you watched the first two episodes of 'WandaVision', you'll note how the series is shifting through different eras of sitcoms.

This week, the episode leaves the black-and-white for colour television in the early '70s, with Wanda and Vision now living in a house eerily reminiscent of 'The Brady Bunch' and 'All In The Family', complete with clearly-fake grass out the front and big sideburns everywhere.

As ever, the mystery of what's actually going on is still present, but it looks as though some of the layers are beginning to peel back with this episode.

WHY IS IT SUDDENLY IN COLOUR? WHY DOES IT LOOK SO GARISH?

Well, as we mentioned, each episode moves through a different era of sitcom television. The first two episodes were the early and late '60s, and by the early '70s, colour TV was just about everywhere in the US and across the world. Because colour TV was so new and so different, sets on TV shows were made to look as vibrant and eye-catching as possible. In fact, the idea was that if people flicking through channels saw bright colours, they'd stop to investigate and then watch the show.

WHY IS WANDA SUDDENLY PREGNANT?

Well, as you probably guessed, the world the show is set in is a fantasy - so Wanda suddenly becoming pregnant overnight, and then four months along, means that she can simply imagine herself in that way to keep up the fantasy. As you see by the end of the episode, Wanda gives birth to twins - Billy and Tommy - but then the fantasy cracks when "Geraldine", played by Teyonah Parris, asks her why didn't she name her children after her brother, Pietro.

WHO IS "GERALDINE" AND WHY DO YOU HAVE HER NAME IN INVERTED COMMAS?

Because that's not her real name. The character's real name is Monica Rambeau, and she's going to be a major character in the 'Captain Marvel' sequel. In the first 'Captain Marvel' movie, she was an eleven-year old girl in the early '90s, but seeing as how 'WandaVision' is set in our time, she's now grown up - and working for SWORD. Now, you're going to ask who SWORD is. We're jumping the gun here, but needless to say, they're going to play a big part in the next episode. For now, let's deal with what happened in this episode. Anyway, we know the character's real name is Monica Rambeau because the actor who's playing her - Teynoah Parris - was cast in 'Captain Marvel 2'. Granted, that hasn't been revealed yet in the show, but it's nice to know at any rate.

WHO'S PIETRO THAT "GERALDINE" MENTIONED AFTER WANDA GAVE BIRTH?

Pietro was Wanda's twin brother, and was played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson in 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'. Ultron killed Pietro at the end of that movie, which goes some way to explaining why Wanda then threw "Geraldine" out of the fantasy at the end of the episode, with her waking up outside with a bunch of SHIELD agents around her. "Geraldine" tried to get Wanda to face reality, even briefly, and that resulted in her being thrown out of Westview by Wanda, all of which Vision just went along with.

ARE THE PEOPLE IN WESTVIEW REAL?

That's the big question, isn't it? There's a weird moment when their next-door neighbour Herb is trimming the bushes and then just stars cutting into the wall as if it's completely normal. You've also got that moment when Herb tries to explain who "Geraldine" is before he begins stuttering. This leads us to think that some people in Westview is real, but they're under Wanda's mind control powers. Some of them realise they're under her control, but are afraid of drawing attention to it for fear they'll be hurt or, worse, die. It may also be that others in Westview aren't real at all. For example, we know that Vision died at the end of 'Avengers: Infinity War' and he wasn't brought back to life either - so Wanda's version of him isn't real.
