We hope you haven't made too many plans for this month because Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime, Apple TV+ and Sky and NOW have all you could ever want to watch with their newest TV and movie releases. Here are our picks for what to watch on demand this September.
NETFLIX
'Nightbooks' | September 15
Feeling spooky? 'Nightbooks' will be the flagship Netflix family horror for 2021, and it looks like one everyone will be able to get a kick out of - no matter your tolerance of the horror genre. Krysten Ritter from 'Jessica Jones' and 'Confessions of a Shopaholic' as an evil witch? Yes, please.
'Schumacher' | September 15
The ultimate documentary of Formula 1 icon Michael Schumacher, the documentary features rare interviews and previously unreleased archive footage and traces a very sensitive and critical portrait of the seven-time world champion.
'Sex Education' S3 | September 17
Fancy another trip back to Moordale? Of course you do. Season three of the coming-of-age comedy series sees the students of the "sex school" face a fresh adversary in their brand new headteacher Hope (played by Jemima Kirke). 'Midnight Mass' | September 24
A chilling new series from 'The Haunting of' creator Mike Flanagan sees a remote island have many unexplainable phenomenon happen after the arrival of a charismatic, mysterious young priest. 'The Starling' | September 24
Melissa McCarthy and Chris O'Dowd team up once again, this time as grieving parents. What looks to be a touching yet comedic movie, 'The Starling' follows both parents' journeys as they try to stay afloat and how to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

'Y: The Last Man' | September 22
Imagine a world where every living mammal with a Y chromosome drops dead, and that's the premise of 'Y: The Last Man'. Based on the comic book series of the same name, the live-action take on the dystopian future is set to be one of the biggest TV series arrivals this year. It ain't a man's world anymore.
'Star Wars: Visions' | September 22
Seven visionary Japanese anime studios have crafted a collection of animated short films from Lucasfilm, useing their signature animation and storytelling styles to realise their own visions of the galaxy far, far away. The nine episodes will be the first time that the 'Star Wars' franchise delves into the anime genre.

'Everybody's Talking About Jamie' | September 17
Amazon's second musical arriving this month (after that underwhelming 'Cinderella' affair) is this film adaptation of the award-winning West End musical. Starring Max Harwood and Sharon Horgan, we hope you brought your dancing shoes, because this is going to be a highly entertaining musical sensation.
'Goliath' S4 | September 24
The fourth and final season of Amazon Original culminates the journey of Billy Bob Thornton's Billy, who returns to his Big Law roots after Patty (Nina Arianda) takes a job at a prestigious white-shoe law firm in San Francisco. Together, they try to take down one of America’s most insidious Goliaths: the opioid industry.

'The Morning Show' S2 | September 17
Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon return for season two of the wonderfully dramatic morning show dramedy, which is set to be just as explosive, if not more so, than season one. Irish actor Ruairi O’Connor joins the cast this time around as Ty Fitzgerald, a smart and charismatic YouTube star.
'Foundation' | September 24
This could be the biggest sci-fi release of the year, so expect to hear plenty of reaction to the series once it hits later this month. Starring Jared Harris and Lee Pace, this adaptation of Isaac Asimov's epic novels was partially filmed in Ireland in county Limerick and is already tipped for a second season.

'Never Mind The Buzzcocks' | This September
It's coming back! After seven years off the air, Sky has managed to bring back one of the best panel TV shows ever created. Blending elements of comedy, music, and incredibly insane special guests, this new revival with Greg Davies as host has a lot to live up to. The series launches later this month on Sky and NOW.
'Young Rock' | September 17
Following a solid launch over in the States, it's time for us to get a look at Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's life as told in the form of a comedy sitcom. Just how did this former professional wrestler and now major blockbuster actor get where he is in life?
'Gunpowder Milkshake' | September 17
Finally, there's a new all-female action-adventure film to look forward to on demand this September, with the arrival of 'Gunpowder Milkshake'. The film is bursting with star quality, including Karen Gillan, Lena Headey, Angela Bassett and Michelle Yeoh, all to do with assassins, guns, and con artists.
