Because people can't get enough teenage rom-coms.
Seeing as how Netflix is basically using algorithms to detect exactly what people want, it's no surprise that they've put two sequels to 'To All The Boys I've Loved Before' into production.
'To All The Boys I've Loved Before: PS I Still Love You' is expected to arrive on Netflix in February 2020, probably around Valentine's Day. Meanwhile, the third movie, 'To All the Boys: Always and Forever, Lara Jean', is now in production and will likely hit on February 2021.
The movies are based on the novels of the same name written by Jenny Han, with the series beginning in 2014 and ending in 2017 with 'Always and Forever, Lara Jean'. The movie also brought Noah Centineo to stardom along with Lana Condor, both of whom have become social media phenomenons in just a short amount of time.
The first movie was a massive hit for Netflix, and was widely praised by critics and received a 97% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Not only that, the Yakult scene in the movie actually caused a spike in sales for the brand. Impact, people. Impact.
'To All The Boys I've Loved Before' is available on Netflix right now.
