The movie was delayed due to a copyright battle
An intriguing-looking new thriller is about to arrive on Netflix later this week, one which will interest action movie heads and fans of South Korean Oscar winner 'Parasite'.
In the 'Time to Hunt' trailer, we see the movie is set in a dystopian future where four friends attempt to make a new life for themselves and escape the clutches of their current city with all of its rules. The four friends plan a casino heist to set themselves up for life, but what seemed like a bulletproof plan turns into a chase for their lives.
'Time to Hunt' was written and directed by Sung-hyun Yoon, and stars Woo-sik Choi who you'll recognise from Oscar-winning movie 'Parasite', as well as Jae-hong Ahn, Lee Jehoon and Jung-min Park.
'Time to Hunt' was due to hit Netflix earlier this month, but was delayed due to a Korean court battle. The film was originally scheduled for theatrical release in Korea on February 26, but due to the era that we are currently living in, the thriller chose an alternative release. Following this, the movie was delayed again by an injunction brought by its sales agent, claiming it had a contract for international rights.
A Korean court granted this, but the ban has now been lifted after a deal was reached. The film will now roll out on Netflix worldwide. Alls well that ends well, and we are very much looking forward to seeing how the movie plays out.
