Trump's "I'll take a look" line certainly piqued the Netflix's stars interest
The newest entry in the 'Tiger King' saga will see the star of the Netflix series ask the US President for a pardon from his conviction.
According to TMZ, sources close to Joe Exotic say that his legal team in Texas are preparing a case file that will be sent on to Donald Trump. Claiming Joe was wrongly convicted for the murder-for-hire plot against Carole Baskin, the file is set to plead Joe's innocence.
Joe Exotic is currently serving his second year in a 22-year sentence for allegedly hiring a hitman (Allen Glover) to carry out the murder of his zoo rival Carole Baskin, a charge which Joe and his team have constantly said is untrue. His "Team Tiger" have even made a bus with the slogan "President Trump Please Pardon Joe Exotic" stretching across the side, and plan on submitting the file in front of Trump in the coming weeks.

Joe Exotic's fresh plea comes a number of weeks after the US President said he would "take a look" into his case when asked by a reporter.

Will Joe Exotic ever get out of jail? Will Donald Trump pardon the Netflix star while he's surrounded by tigers? Will Carole Baskin ever stop saying that awful tagline? Be sure to tune into the second series of 'Tiger King' (which may already be in production) which will undoubtedly be just as unbelievable as the first series.
Until then, we'll have the 'Tiger King' adaptation to look forward to, with 'SNL' star Kate McKinnon as Carole Baskin and the recently announced Nicolas Cage as the flamboyant Joe Exotic.
