Well, she's not wrong
It really feels like we're stuck in the 'Rocky Horror Picture Show' singing 'The Time Warp' right now, because as we're all very aware, history has a habit of repeating itself.
Following the release of the teaser trailer for 'Tiger King 2' yesterday, Carole Baskin has gone out of her way to once again to slam Netflix (even though she pops up in the trailer strutting down a hallway).
The animal rights activist and founder of Big Cat Rescue, who has in the past year gained control of Joe Exotic's former zoo and sold it again, wrote yet another scathing remark aimed at the streaming service (which turned her into a household name).
In a phone call with Variety, Baskin expressed her surprise at how quick a turnaround the team were able to create the second season, while also completely dissing their craft, claiming they are not "true documentarians". Oh, and the show is a "dumpster fire".
But Carole, isn't that why we love it so much?
She told the publication: "I know some people who have been involved in it and they were doing more filming, so I assumed at some point they would come out with a ‘Tiger King 2'. It took them five years to put together the first one, so I thought it would be a lot longer.
After the first series hit Netflix and became a worldwide phenomenon, Carole claims that Rebecca Chaiklin, director of 'Tiger King', tried to "clear the air" with her. However, but she told them to "lose my number because that was not at all what we had agreed we were working on".
She continued: "I wouldn’t call Eric Goode or Rebecca Chaiklin true documentarians. I mean that was just a reality show dumpster fire."
The teaser for 'Tiger King 2' also shows a billboard seeking information about who "murdered" Carole Baskin’s ex-husband, Don Lewis. She has continuously denied knowing any information about his mysterious disappearance. A shocking turn of evidence obtained following the documentary's arrival revealed that her late husband's will was deemed "100% a forgery".
This isn't the first time Baskin has called out the streaming service. She voiced her dismay at being part of the Netflix series following its release, saying the filmmakers "did not care about truth".
What fresh drama will series two reveal, we wonder? 'Tiger King 2' arrives on Netflix later this year.
