In the words of Geralt of Rivia, "...f*ck."

Although cases of coronavirus are rising across the globe, movie and TV productions have been able to resume with strict guidelines in place for social distancing and testing protocols.

Movies like 'Mission: Impossible 7', 'Succession' and others have restarted or begun production during the pandemic, but the spectre of shutdown is always present if someone on the set tests positive. Case in point being Netflix's 'The Witcher', starring Henry Cavill as the angriest mutant swordsman on the continent, Geralt of Rivia.

Deadline is reporting that production has been shut down once again after a total of four people tested positive for COVID-19. It's understood that none of the main cast has been impacted or tested positive, while those who have are now isolating.

Work on the show only restarted in August as the UK exited lockdown, with the first pause in production taking place in March of this year. While that might seem disappointing, it's worth noting that no air date had been set for Season 2 of the show, and odds are that even with this recent pause, you weren't likely to see it until next year anyway.

The second season will pick up directly after the events of the first season, which saw Geralt convinced that Yennefer - playd by Anya Chalotra - was killed at the Battle of Sodden. Meanwhile, Geralt brings Princess Cirilla to his cheery childhood home of Kaer Morhen while the rest of the continent battles it out amongst themselves.
