The full trailer for the upcoming Disney+ series 'Andor' shows Diego Luna return to his charismatic 'Star Wars' character.
The action-packed trailer shows the events leading up to 2016's 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story'. Judging from our limited view of the series so far, it looks a much darker and grittier affair than its predecessors.
We see the Empire at the height of their powers, their grip firmly in place around the galaxy. However, Andor's journey shows pockets of rebels ready to fight back.
Joining Luna are Genevieve O’Reilly, Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller and Fiona Shaw. Forest Whitaker reprises his 'Rogue One' role of Saw Gerrera.
While the series was originally supposed to air on August 31, it was unfortunately pushed back a few weeks to September 21.
Last month, series creator Tony Gilroy Empire said, "The scale of the show is so huge." Implying that the series would only be two seasons long, Gilroy spoke about the layout of the seasons to come.
"We looked and said, 'Wow, it’d be really interesting if we come back, and we use each block to represent a year. We’ll move a year closer with each block’."
He then went on to reveal the structure of the series, which goes right up to the finale of the second season. Directors worked in blocks of three episodes, consisting of four blocks for the first season.
