Another excellent casting choice
It has been confirmed who will play Prince Philip for the fifth and sixth seasons of 'The Crown'.
The hit Netflix series initially starred Claire Foy and Matt Smith as Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.
Seasons three and four (the latter of which has yet to air) see Olivia Colman and Tobias Menzies take over the roles, respectively.
It had previously been confirmed that Imelda Staunton will play the Queen for the fifth and sixth seasons of the series.
Lesley Manville will play Princess Margaret, having previously been played by Vanessa Kirby and Helena Bonham Carter.
Your Prince Philip for the final seasons of 'The Crown' will officially be (*drumroll*)...... Jonathon Pryce.
Pryce is likely most recognisable to audiences for playing High Sparrow in 'Game of Thrones'.
He also played Governor Swann in the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' series.
He earned his first Oscar nomination for playing Pope Francis in last year's 'The Two Popes'.
Pryce's career in theatre has been impressive too as in the past he performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company and at the Royal Court Theatre. He won two Tony Awards for his performances in 'Comedians' and 'Miss Saigon'.
His other film credits include 'Brazil', 'Evita', 'Tomorrow Never Dies', 'Glengarry Glen Ross', 'The Age of Innocence', and 'The Wife'.
The fourth season of 'The Crown' has wrapped filming. It is scheduled to be released in late 2020. The fifth season will be released in 2022.
