We wouldn't expect anything less
Are you ready for more blood, guts, gore and debauchery than ever before?
'The Boys' spin-off 'Gen V' dropped a teaser trailer at a comic book convention in Brazil, and it's got us all riled up for plenty more madness taking place within this messed-up superhero universe.
Fans attending CCXP in São Paulo got an extra-special treat this weekend with the very first look at 'The Boys' spin-off which will introduce us to a brand new group of superheroes who have been jacked up with Compound V. However, these won't be already-established Supes, but instead, they'll be attendees at Vought International's all-American Supe College.
According to Prime Video, the series synopsis has the following description: "'Gen V' explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the school’s top ranking."
Teens and young adults getting to grips with their superpowers? Sure, what could go wrong? By the looks of the 'Gen V' teaser trailer below, we're going to see all sorts of mayhem unfold.
Jaz Sinclair of Netflix's 'The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina' will play the lead role of Marie Moreau, while her 'COAS' co-star Chance Perdomo joins the cast in an unknown role. Clancy Brown ('Billions'), Alexander Calvert ('Supernatural') and Jason Ritter ('Parenthood') also join the cast, alongside Patrick Schwarzenegger ('The Terminal List') as Golden Boy, Lizze Broadway ('The Rookie') as Emma Shaw, with Shelley Conn ('Bridgerton'), Maddie Phillips ('Teenage Bounty Hunters') and more.
The preview above also showed off some cross-over between 'Gen V' and 'The Boys', with Jessie T. Usher, Colby Minifie, and P.J. Byrne reprising their roles as A-Train, Ashley Barrett and Adam Bourke. Might we see some more cameo appearances? It's safe to say that we probably will.
Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg are once again on board this spin-off series as executive producers. Expect more details about the series in the new year.
'Gen V' will be released at some point in the first half of 2023.
