Michael Jordan fans won't want to miss these

Netflix is being very clever with its content launches as both 'Space Jam' and the first episodes of 'The Last Dance' land on the streaming service today.

Most will be familiar with the 90s classic 'Space Jam'. In spite of a mixed critical reception, it has become something of a cult classic. A sequel is in the works.

'The Last Dance' is a new documentary series that people may be less aware of.

The former sees NBA superstar Michael Jordan join the Looney Tunes in a basketball match against the Monstars. The wacky animated creatures fear enslavement from Mr. Swackhammer (voiced by Danny DeVito), who wants to make them attractions in his theme park.

'The Last Dance' is also centred around Jordan.

Per Netflix's synopsis: "In the fall of 1997, Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls began their quest to win a sixth NBA title in eight years.

"But despite all Jordan had achieved since his sensational debut 13 years earlier, 'The Last Dance,' as coach Phil Jackson called it, would be shadowed by tension with the club’s front office and the overwhelming sense that this was the last time the world would ever see the greatest player of all time, and his extraordinary teammates, in full flight."

The series debuted on ESPN last night and is releasing weekly on Netflix on this side of the pond from today.

The first two episodes are now live.

There will be two new episodes launched every Monday between now and May 18th.

The series will be ten episodes long in total.
