You might already be familiar with the British miniseries on which this new Sandra Bullock Netflix drama is based. 'Unforgiven' was a 2009 series written by Sally Wainwright for ITV. Starring Suranne Jones ('Vigil'), the three-parter was quite successful with audiences, and a film adaptation process began as far back as 2010. Angelina Jolie was originally being considered for the role before it eventually fell to Bullock.
Bullock also acted as a producer on the film, which is directed by German filmmaker Nora Fingscheidt.
Here's the trailer for 'The Unforgivable'.
This will mark Sandra Bullock's second Netflix Original production, the first of which was her horror entry from 2018, 'Bird Box'. The 57-year-old won't be back for any planned spin-offs which are in the pipeline, the first of which is expected to be a Spanish-language version of the original.
'The Unforgivable' will have a limited run in select theatres from November 24 followed by its arrival on Netflix on December 10.
