"Day 1 shooting with one of my comedy idols"
Filming on the upcoming comedy musical rehash of 'A Christms Carol' is underway.
Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell are teaming up for 'A Christmas Carol' on Apple TV+, and the first look at both of them on screen together has been teased by the 'Deadpool' star.
Earlier this year it was revealed that the two Hollywood actors will join Octavia Spencer for a revamped version of Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol'. With Ferrell being the king of Christmas comedy ('Elf'), Spencer being an Oscar winner ('The Help'), and Reynolds being an all-round hoot - this version of the classic tale will hopefully breathe new life into the century-and-a-half-old story.
Sharing his joy about working with one of his "comedy idols", Ryan Reynolds tweeted our first look at him and Will Ferrell together in a scene. This is an Apple TV+ movie, so naturally, AirPods are on the screen. He joked: "Day 1 shooting with one of my comedy idols, Will Ferrell. You'd barely notice this was an Apple movie!
"Also iOS 14.6 will begin installing in 7 seconds…"
Surprisingly, this is the first time that both actors will be working together on a feature film. This also isn't Ryan Reynolds first Christmas movie - lest we forget the re-release of 'Deadpool 2', titled 'Once Upon a Deadpool', which saw the Merc with a Mouth narrate a more family-friendly version of the 18+ storyline, complete with 'The Wonder Years' star Fred Savage being held against his will.
It's unknown yet if 'A Christmas Carol' will be released for holiday season 2021 or 2022.
