Masks, masks a-plenty

Shot during this year, we've been given our first glimpse at what set life was like for the main stars of the 2021 Netflix movie.

Starring Gal Gadot, Ryan Reynolds, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, 'Red Notice' will see the three stars intertwined in an international crime storyline.

The action/comedy will see Gadot star as one of the world's greatest art thieves, Reynolds playing an expert con-man, while Johnson will be the Interpol agent sent to track them both down and shut down their operations once and for all. We can already envision all of the wise-cracks and near-misses involved in the high-octane plot.

The movie was originally due for release by Universal during 2020, but negotiations broke down and distribution rights eventually fell on Netflix. The movie is expected to be released in early 2021 - so at least we have one title to look forward to next year.

Feeling sentimental about their time on set together, stars Gadot and Reynolds recently uploaded some behind-the-scenes pictures from the set, and have shared them with fans on Instagram.

Gadot wrote: "Now that I’m back home I’ve had time to reflect on the past couple of months shooting 'Red Notice'. In order to get back to work during the pandemic, came with a lot of sacrifices especially from our amazing crew. We had to be sequestered 24/7 and only go to and from set.

"The crew had to be away from their families for several months and they worked their butts off so we can all deliver the best movie possible while keeping everyone safe. I’m always aware of the fact that things are impactful and special only when there’s a collective force behind it. This one was for sure that.

"Thank you so much 'Red Notice' crew. Thank you Rawson Thurber [director] and my amazing co-stars The Rock and Ryan Reynolds. Can’t wait for all of you to see the movie!!!! It’s so damn good."

Reynolds posted a couple of updates of late too, also chiming in on how hard-working the film crew had been throughout production. He also thanked Johnson for carrying him on his "broad, generous and expansive shoulders".

Expect a trailer for 'Red Notice' to drop in the near future, as well as a concrete arrival date for its release on Netflix.
