The failed Fyre Festival made headlines in 2017
Fyre Festival has gone down as probably the worst music festival that was ever created.
If Burning Man wasn't remote enough for you, or Coachella was just too mainstream, Fyre Festival wanted to be the most exclusive festival the world has ever seen.
Scheduled to take place over two weekends in April and May 2017, Fyre Festival was supposed to be the new "it" festival to go to for Hollywood's Elite.
The brainchild of rapper Ja Rule, and entrepreneur Billy McFarland, the festival took place in the Bahamas. Here's the promotional video for Fyre, which features models Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner and many others having the time of their lives.
However, the new luxury music festival turned out to be anything but. Festival goers forked out thousands of dollars for a space at the exclusive music festival; they were promised gourmet meals and luxury villas, as well as a killer "immersive music" line-up.
The result was pre-packed cheese and salad sandwiches, makeshift tents, and no headline acts. Blink-182 pulled out of performing because they felt it wouldn't have been a quality performance at the venue.
Now, Netflix have secured the rights to a documentary on the debacle that is Fyre Festival. Here's the trailer for 'FYRE' which, we're sorry to say, looks lit.

The result for festival organiser McFarland, is that he's been sentenced to six years in prison, and also charged with selling fraudulent tickets to other exclusive events. Needless to say the full story will be revealed in Netflix's new documentary which arrives next year.
'FYRE' from director director Chris Smith, arrives on Netflix 18th January.
