Quite.
Although no release date has been confirmed as of yet, Netflix's 'The Crown' is well into production and the very first image from the fifth season has made its way online and sees Queen Elizabeth looking... perturbed? Cross? Unimpressed? Who knows.
Imelda Staunton is set to play 'Ol Lizzie herself in the upcoming season, replacing Oscar winner Olivia Colman, who in turn replaced Claire Foy in the opening seasons. Staunton is perhaps best known for playing arch-villain Dolores Umbridge in the 'Harry Potter' franchise, as well as roles in 'Paddington', 'Shakespeare In Love', and 'Little Britain'.
Staunton as Queen Elizabeth will be joined by fellow newcomers to the series Jonny Lee Miller, who is set to play Prime Minister John Major, while Elizabeth Debicki will be playing Diana. 'Game of Thrones' alum Jonathan Pryce will be playing Prince Phillip, while 'Phantom Thread' star Lesley Manville will be playing Princess Margaret.
'The Crown' is now one of Netflix's most high-profile series, with even some of the real-life royal family commenting on it. As mentioned, no air date has been confirmed for the new season, but odds are it's likely to be in late 2021 before we get to see anything.
