The disturbing crime thriller series is heading back to Netflix in March.
The acclaimed crime thriller series, 'Ozark', is heading back to Netflix on March 27th.
An announcement video was posted on Netflix's YouTube account yesterday, confirming the date for the series' return, with Jason Bateman and Laura Linney all lined up to return. Since it began on Netflix, 'Ozark' has been a critical hit and scored numerous awards.
Just last year, Jason Bateman won an award for directing an episode of 'Ozark' at the Emmys, prompting plenty of Michael Bluth-esque jokes about how nonplussed he was about it. Not only that, Julia Garner - who plays Bateman's on-screen crime apprentice, Ruth Langmore - picked up an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress (Drama).
The last season (spoilers, in case you haven't watched it yet) saw the Byrdes investing in a riverboat casino in an attempt to continue their dynamic criminal enterprise. The official synopsis for Season 3 reveals that the story picks up six months after Season 2. "Marty preaches keeping the status quo. Aided by an alliance with Helen and drug cartel leader Omar Navarro, Wendy plots for expansion. But when Wendy’s brother Ben comes into town, everyone’s lives are thrown into chaos," the synopsis reads.
Expect lots of washed-out greens, deep staring and tense music for 60-odd minutes an episode. Here's the announcement trailer.
