Seeing as your entire childhood is being repackaged and rebooted - they're even doing a ThunderCats reboot now - it's no surprise that She-Ra: Princess Of Power is getting the same treatment.

The short-lived animated series saw Adora, He-Man's twin sister, battle Hordak and the evil Horde to protect the Crystal Castle with the help of some equally good-looking warriors in a fabulous '80s kaleidoscope of colour and synth music.

The new version of the animated series will land on Netflix later this year, and follows pretty much the same schtick as before. Here's the synopsis and poster.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is the story of an orphan named Adora, who leaves behind her former life in the evil Horde when she discovers a magic sword that transforms her into the mythical warrior princess She-Ra. Along the way, she finds a new family in the Rebellion as she unites a group of magical princesses in the ultimate fight against evil.
