The Muppets are on their way to Disney+ this July
The Muppets are back - and it's good to see that they still haven't lost their undeniable charm.
Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Swedish Chef and all your favourites are on the return to our screens for another off-the-wall attempt at stringing a relatable TV series together, with all of the mishaps along the way too. Featuring celebrity interviews and guest appearances, 'Muppets Now' looks to be a return to form for the puppets.
From the 'Muppets Now' trailer, we can see a sleuth of special appearances on the cards over the series. From drag queen extraordinaire RuPaul, to actors Seth Rogan, Aubrey Plaza, and 'Dead To Me' star Linda Cardellini, expect plenty of laughs and off-the-cuff responses.
Here's the official synopsis of what's to come over the six episodes.
'Muppets Now' is The Muppets Studio’s first original series for Disney+. In the six-episode season, Scooter rushes to make his delivery deadlines and upload the brand-new Muppet series for streaming. They are due now, and he’ll need to navigate whatever obstacles, distractions, and complications the rest of the Muppet gang throws at him. Overflowing with spontaneous lunacy, surprising guest stars and more frogs, pigs, bears (and whatevers) than legally allowed, the Muppets cut loose in 'Muppets Now' with the kind of startling silliness and heartfelt fun that first made them famous.
Episodes of 'Muppets Now' will be added weekly on Disney+, beginning July 29.
