Rosario Dawson is also confirmed to be playing Ahsoka Tano, though it'll be just for one episode most likely.
Now that Disney+ has launched here in Ireland, people are finally getting what all the fuss about with 'The Mandalorian'.
The first season saw a number of special guest stars, including the likes of Nick Nolte, Werner Herzog, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers and Bill Burr, and it looks like the second season will be about the same. Deadline has confirmed a number of castings for the second season, including firming up news on Rosario Dawson.
Previously, /Film reported that Dawson was set to play Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker's apprentice from animated series 'The Clone Wars', in the character's first live-action appearance. Well, Deadline's confirmed that, along with the return of comedian Bill Burr as the former Imperial sniper-turned-mercenary Mayfield.
Not only that, but Michael Biehn will also be appearing in an as-yet-unspecified role. Biehn, of course, is no stranger to either sci-fi or Westerns for that matter. Biehn played Johnny Ringo in 'Tombstone', one of the most underrated Westerns of the past 30 years. He's perhaps best known for playing Kyle Reese in 'The Terminator', or Corporal Hicks in 'Aliens' alongside Sigourney Weaver.
Gina Carano and Carl Weathers are also expected to return as Cara Dune and Greef Karga, respectively.
As of now, no release date has been set for the second season of 'The Mandalorian' but it is known that filming has wrapped and the expected arrival date is some time around October.
