The Netflix series is returning in May after a hiatus of 4 years
Its first season debuted on Netflix in 2015, with a second arriving in 2017. Now a third season of 'Master of None' will launch on the streaming service next month.
Season 1 was set in New York, while season 2 took place in both Italy and New York. The third season of 'Master of None' was filmed in London.
According to reports this new season will consist of five episodes, rather than the usual ten.
All five episodes were directed by Aziz Ansari and written by Ansari and Lena Waithe.
The new episodes are said to be focussed exclusively on Denise, played by Waithe. Denise was a supporting character in both seasons of 'Master of None'.
The Netflix series received critical acclaim, and won three Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe.
However, the fate of the show became unclear after its star and creator Ansari came under sexual misconduct allegations in early 2018.
A woman accused the comedian of being sexually aggressive with her on a date.
Ansari released a statement at the time reading: "In September of last year, I met a woman at a party. We exchanged numbers, we texted back and forth and eventually went on a date.
"We went out to dinner, and afterwards we ended up engaging in sexual activity, which by all indications was completely consensual."
The 'Arrested Development' actor also addressed the accusations in his 2019 Netflix stand-up special 'Aziz Ansari: Right Now', saying he "felt terrible" that his accuser felt that he had violated her.
Season 3 is said to be titled 'Master of None Presents: Moments in Love.'
There isn't a precise release date for it yet. But sources say it will launch on Netflix in May.
