Is this the "Mad Place"?
Could they not have thought of a snappier title than this?
Get ready for a mouthful of a TV series. The first trailer of Kristen Bell's Netflix comedy thriller 'The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window' has been released.
Looking like the perfect January binge, Bell stars in the limited series as a woman named Anna who witnesses a gruesome murder... But did she really?
In a concept that looks to be parodying various creations that have come before it (Hitchcock's 'Rear Window', and especially Amy Adams' 2021 release 'The Woman in the Window'), Anna lives "every day is the same".
Guzzling down the wine, burning herself on her home baking, talking to her therapist, mixing her medication with alcohol, and staring out of her window; she sits and watches the world go by her every day.
But when a handsome neighbour (Tom Riley) and his daughter Emma (Samsara Leela Yett) move in across the street, Anna starts to see a light at the end of the tunnel. And what looks to be a vicious killing.
Bell also serves as an executive producer on the thriller, alongside Will Ferrell. The series will also co-star's Michael Ealy, Mary Holland, Shelley Hennig, Cameron Britton, Christina Anthony, and Benjamin Levy Aguilar.
Here's the trailer for the Kristen bell Netflix thriller.
This is Bell's first Netflix series since 'The Good Place' ended at the beginning of 2020. Since then, she's returned to 'Gossip Girl' for the 2021 reboot as the voiceover of "Gossip Girl", while also lending her voice to Apple TV+'s 'Central Park' comedy/musical series.
'The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window' premieres on Netflix on January 28.
