When he's not kickstarting billion-dollar franchises, Jon Favreau likes to cook for his friends.
When you've revolutionised the idea of franchise moviemaking and been the catalyst for a billion-dollar franchise, you can do just about any project you want.
Jon Favreau decided to use this awesome power... to making what looks like a damn good cooking show. Shortly after Favreau completed his work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as director of 'Iron Man' and 'Iron Man 2', and the blockbustery but so-so 'Cowboys & Aliens', he went to work on 'Chef'.
Going way back to his indie roots, 'Chef' was a critical smash but didn't remotely have the same kind of impact that 'Iron Man' had - but it had an impact on Favreau. So much so that he then put together 'The Chef Show' and reteamed with Roy Choi, the chef who trained on the movie.
The series follows Favreau as he and Choi cook for his famous friends, including Robert Downey Jr., Tom Holland, Gwyneth Paltrow, the Russo Brothers, Bill Burr, Robert Rodriguez and loads more besides.
'The Chef Show' lands on Netflix on June 7th.
