The movie is based on Caitlin Moran's bestseller
A new trailer for 'How to Build a Girl', adapted from Caitlin Moran's 2014 semi-autobiographical novel, arrives as the movie heads to Amazon.
'How to Build a Girl' stars Beanie Feldstein ('Booksmart', 'Lady Bird') as Johanna Morrigan, a teenager from Wolverhampton, England, growing up in the '90s.
She finds life with her eccentric parents and four brothers in an overcrowded flat unbearable.
Johanna struggles to forge her own path. A solution, sort of, comes when she reinvents herself to become a popular but conflicted music journalist named Dolly Wilde.
Moran penned the screenplay herself alongside John Niven. Coky Giedroyc directs.
The film also stars Paddy Considine; Alfie Allen; Emma Thomspon; Sarah Solemani; Chris O'Dowd and Joanna Scanlan.
'How To Build A Girl' premieres on Amazon Prime on 24th July.
