As usual, Netflix have a rake of new content on the way to the streaming service this month, all of which you can check out in our Netflix listings. However if you want to know what we'll be watching, here are our picks for June.

 

June 1st

'November 13' - Documentary

November 13 is a three part documentary in which Jules and Gédéon Naudet, directors of '9/11', explore the human stories behind the terrorist attacks that took place in Paris on November 13th, 2015. Following the chronology of the events, the documentary will share testimonies of the people brought together by tragedy, from the survivors, the fire department, the police and the leaders of the French government.

'Grace Jones: Bloodlight and Bami' - Documentary

Electrifying concert performances and intimate, personal footage showcase the life and talent of singer and actress Grace Jones.

June 2nd

'The Edge of Seventeen' - Movie

A 2016 American coming-of-age comedy-drama film featuring a fantastic performance from Hailee Steinfeld and also stars Woody Harrelson.

 

June 7th

'Ghostbusters' - Movie

This reboot caused a lot of backlash when it first came out but you know what? It's a lot of fun. Stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon and Chris Hemsworth.

June 8th

'Sense 8' - Finale - TV Show

The series left a lot of fans frustrated when it was cancelled after season two given the open-ending, but Netflix have given the people with they want by commissioning this feature-length finale.

 

'Alex Strangelove' - Movie

A Netflix Original film about a high school senior who plans on losing his virginity to his girlfriend but things get complicated when he meets a handsome and charming gay kid from the other side of town who unwittingly sends him on a roller-coaster journey of sexual identity.

'The Staircase' - Documentary

A new Netflix true crime documentary series to sink your teeth into. 'The Staircase' is the compelling story of Michael Peterson, a crime novelist accused of killing his wife Kathleen after she is found dead at the bottom of a staircase in their home, and the 16 year judicial battle that followed.

June 12th

'Champions' - TV Series

Champions is an American comedy television series created by Charlie Grandy and Mindy Kaling that premiered on NBC on March 8, 2018. It follows the story of Vince (Anders Holm) a charismatic gym owner who is living every bachelor's dream with his younger brother Matthew in Brooklyn, New York. He lives a simple life, dates an endless string of women, until his high school fling Priya drops off their 15-year-old son Michael.

June 18th

'Unsolved: Tupac and Biggie' - Documentary Series

The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G. chronicles the dual police investigations of Detective Greg Kading and Detective Russell Poole into the controversial murders of two of the rap industry's most legendary players, Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G.

June 21st

'Star Trek: Beyond' - Movie

The 2016 sci-fi click starring Chris Pine arrives on Netflix. The crew of the USS Enterprise explores the furthest reaches of uncharted space, where they encounter a new ruthless enemy, who puts them, and everything the Federation stands for, to the test.

June 22nd

'Marvel’s Luke Cage' - TV series

Luke Cage is back for a second season with a brand new villain to contend with.

June 22nd

'Brain on Fire' - Movie

A movie by Kerry-born director Gerard Barrett based on the true story of Susannah Cahalan, a journalist who gets a sudden, mysterious, and mentally devastating illness. Stars Chloë Grace Moretz.

June 26th

'Sausage Party' - Movie

This very funny animated comedy arrives on Netflix about the products of a grocery store featuring the voices of Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig and Jonah Hill.

 

June 29th

GLOW - TV Series

The second season of this hugely popular Netflix Original arrives that follows the goings on of a 1980's female wrestling league. It stars Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin and Marc Maron.
