Netflix has provided a first look at 'The Haunting of Bly Manor', which is set to arrive on the streaming service later this year. Continuing the series began with 'The Haunting of Hill House' in 2018, this new entry in the horror franchise sees creator Mike Flanagan once again return to helm another gothic horror.
While the first series was based on Shirley Jackson's gothic book of the same name, this time around the series is inspired by the illustrious works of Henry James, most famed for writing 'The Turn of the Screw' and 'The Portrait of the Lady'.
In a recent Vanity Fair interview Flanagan teased what viewers can expect this time around. As well as there being haunted dolls in the new series location, we can also expect plenty more hidden ghosts in the background of images, which was a major talking point while watching 'The Haunting of Hill House'.
The series sees 'E.T.' and series one actor Henry Thomas return as new character Henry Wingrave, a wealthy uncle of two orphaned children. Joining him in the line-up is Kate Siegel, who played Theo Crain in the first season, will appear in a secret role; Oliver Jackson-Cohen, who played her brother Luke Crain, will play the character of Peter Quint.
