Probably not a massive surprise, to be fair
Disney+ has revealed that the series premiere of Marvel's 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier' is their most watched debut ever.
'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier' aired its very first ever episode last Friday, March 19th.
During its opening weekend of Friday to Sunday, March 22nd, it was the most watched title overall for Disney+ on a global basis.
Mind you, as tends to be the habit of these streaming services, no actual viewership numbers have been provided.
Disney+ did not reveal how the premiere weekend figures compared to fellow Marvel series 'Wandavision'.
There were also no comparisons with 'The Mandalorian's season 1 or 2 weekend premieres.
They did say that 'Falcon', 'Wandavision' and 'The Mandalorian' season 2 are the streamer's most watched weekend premieres.
SambaTV (via Deadline) has provided some figures.
Collecting data from terrestrial TVs, they report that 1.7 million households tuned into 'Falcon and the Winter Soldier' last weekend.
This beats 'WandaVision', which 1.6 million households watched.
The latest from Disney+ and Marvel had 759k US households tune in last Friday, beating the 655k for 'Wandavision'.
However, 'The Mandalorian' season 2 premiere day nabbed the viewership of 1m households.
