From the director that brought you 'The Big Short', 'Step Brothers' and 'Anchorman'
The latest from Adam McKay - 'Don't Look Up' - is heading straight for Netflix this Christmas. Now we've a teaser trailer for the feature film.
'Don't Look Up' packs quite a cast led by Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence.
It co-stars Rob Morgan, Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill and Tyler Perry...
... as well as Mark Rylance, Ron Perlman, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Scott Mescudi (aka Kid Cudi), Himesh Patel, Melanie Lynskey, Michael Chiklis and Tomer Sisley.
So yeah, some cast.
In 'Don't Look Up', Kate Dibiasky (Lawrence), an astronomy grad student, and her professor Dr. Randall Mindy (DiCaprio) make an astounding discovery of a comet orbiting within the solar system.
The problem is it's on a direct collision course with Earth. Also no one seems to care that the end is nigh.
Kate and Randall, with the help of Dr. Oglethorpe (Morgan), embark on a media tour with only six months to get their message across.
They go from the office of an indifferent President Orlean (Streep) and her sycophantic son and Chief of Staff, Jason (Hill), to the airwaves of The Daily Rip, an upbeat morning show hosted by Brie (Blanchett) and Jack (Perry).
'Don't Look Up' director Adam McKay is known for such films as 'The Big Short', 'Vice', 'Anchorman' and 'Step Brothers'.
It premieres on Netflix on 24 December.
