Starring Maya Hawke, Camila Mendes and Sophie Turner
The new Netflix teen drama follows a pair of new acquaintances who each have some fellow students that they want to, well, exact revenge on.
There's another teen movie coming out of the Netflix funhouse, and 'Do Revenge' looks like it could be a fresh take on a classic from 1989.
'Heathers' starring Winona Ryder and Christian Slater looks like it was more than an influence on this film, along with a sprinkling of 'Mean Girls' thrown in for good measure. The dark comedy stars 'Stranger Things' cast member Maya Hawke and 'Riverdale' alum Camila Mendes.
The actors will play two new besties Eleanor and Crea, who each have their own tormentors in school and hatch a devious plan to take down their bullies once and for all. Billed as a "subverted Hitchcock-ian dark comedy", 'Do Revenge' looks just bizarre and dramatic enough to warrant a watch this September. Plus, there are a lot of recognisable faces from some very popular franchises on the cast list.
Joining Maya and Camila are also Austin Abrams from 'Euphoria', Sophie Turner from 'Game of Thrones', Alisha Boe from '13 Reasons Why', Rish Shah from 'Ms. Marvel', Talia Ryder from 'Hello, Goodby and Everything in Between', Jonathan Daviss from 'Outer Banks', Maia Reficco from 'Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin', Paris Berelc from 'Hubie Halloween'.
Here's the trailer, which looks like a hoot.
Stream 'Do Revenge' on Netflix from September 16.
