King was one of the few people in the documentary and attached to Fyre who wasn't a complete asshole.
Despite the fact that Fyre Festival was a literal omnishambles from start to finish, a few good things have come out of the wreckage.
Several fundraising campaigns have been launched to pay workers in the Bahamas who were left out-of-pocket by the festival. Everyone is (hopefully) more aware of the levels of bullshit that goes into influencer marketing. There was also two separate documentaries made out of the mess. Everyone got a good laugh out of rich people having a terrible time.
For Andy King, the white-haired, thoroughly honest problem-solver for Fyre Festival, it's both becoming a meme regarding servicing male genitalia - and the prospect of becoming a television personality. In an interview with Vanity Fair, King revealed that he's currently fielding offers from television networks in the US.
While he stopped short of naming them specifically, he did give a decent description of what's involved. "You see the attractiveness of HGTV (home and gardening television) today. People love 'Flip or Flop' and 'Fixer Upper'. Let’s just say it’s going to be a show about hosting crazy events - what it takes to make them happen. There will be cliff-hangers, and you’ll get to follow me around and see how I pull them off."
So it's kind of like Gordon Ramsay and 'Kitchen Nightmares', except it's a nice man helping people sort out their crazy events. Listen, if we can get 15 seasons out of 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians', surely the TV people can give a season to the guy from 'Fyre' who was prepared to blow the Bahamanian Customs Minister in order to get some water.
Seems only fair.
