Time does fly fast, my son
Not long to wait until the highly-anticipated comedy sequel arrives on our screens.
If ever there was one movie worthy of a sequel all of these years later, it's 'Coming To America'. And today, Amazon Studios has announced that the Paramount Pictures sequel 'Coming 2 America' will be landing on their streaming service next March.
Starring Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall, the 1988 original movie saw the two young men journey from the royal country of Zamunda to the far off, distant neighbourhood of Queens, New York.
Both actors are expected to reprise their roles in the sequel movie, alongside James Earl Jones, Jon Amos, Shari Headley, and Louie Anderson.
However, there are plenty of new faces joining the sequel this time around too. Morgan Freeman ('Seven'), Wesley Snipes ('Blade'), Leslie Jones ('Saturday Night Live'), Tracy Morgan ('30 Rock'), Jermaine Fowler ('Sorry To Bother You'), and KiKi Layne ('The Old Guard') will all be joining the cast lineup.

In terms of the plotline this time around, not much is known. At the end of 'Coming to America', young Prince Akeem and his new wife Lisa set off into the "happily ever after". What we do know is that Jermaine Fowler will play Akeem's son Lavelle, while KiKi Layne will play Akeem's first daughter, Meeka.
Craig Brewer, who worked with Eddie Murphy on 'Dolemite Is My Name', and has directed episodes of 'Empire', helmed the movie sequel.
