From the producers of 'The Crown'

There's a new whodunnit on the scene, and it's led by one of our favourites.

Alfred Molina will be attempting to uncover some pretty dark secrets in Prime Video's upcoming whodunnit series 'Three Pines'.

Teasing plenty of "secrets, scandal and corruption", Molina will play Chief Inspector Armand Gamache who heads to the secluded town to solve a string of murders. There are many mysterious townsfolk at play, all with murky pasts, so can he read between the lines in order to crack the case and find whoever's responsible?

The series is based on the 18 best-selling 'Still Life' novels by Louise Penny which follow the Inspector as he solves various brutal murders. Left Bank Pictures, which produce Netflix's super popular series 'The Crown', are the production company behind 'Three Pines'.

Joining Molina in the series as regular cast members are Rossif SutherlandElle-Máijá Tailfeathers, Tantoo Cardinal, Clare Coulter, Sarah Booth, and English/Irish actor Anna Tierney, who were also cast in main roles.

It's great to see Molina back in a main role on screen once again. Apart from doing voice work on various TV series and movies, as well as his recent reappearance in the Spider-Man universe in 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' as the supervillain Doc Ock, he's kept fairly quiet. His most well-known roles include starring in '90s films 'Magnolia' and 'Boogie Nights'.

Here's the trailer for the 'Three Pines' series, which will be made up of eight one-hour episodes. The series begins streaming on Prime Video this December.
