Speculation has been rampant that that *N Sync's most famous past pupil Justin Timberlake will reunite with Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and, er, the rest of them at this weekend's MTV Video Music Awards and, if so, Bass is keeping his cards very close to his chest.
Speaking on his Sirius Radio show, Lance Bass commented on the speculation but failed to confirm or deny it, saying: "Justin Timberlake is getting the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award this Sunday at the awards, so of course people are automatically going to think we're going to be there performing, but this is exactly how it happened and I knew these rumours were going to fly."
Bass had recently posted a photograph of himself and Joey Fatone, as well as fellow *N Syncer Chris Kirkpatrick on Instagram, taken at Timberlake's recent Miami concert with Jay Z, which only fuelled the speculation further.
"I think that what started the rumour that there's going to be this big reunion with *N Sync", he continued. "It's amazing to see the reaction out there on Twitter and social media [and] how many people are supporting *N Sync. It's so nice to see because when we ended things 10 years ago, there was no social media, there was no Twitter, but it's so cute to see how many people are supporting [us], and *N Sync was even trending."
Timberlake is being equally tight-lipped on the matter with his reps refusing to confirm or deny the reports.
