Last week, news surfaced that the Westlife boys would play a summer show at Lissadell House in Shane, Mark and Kian's home county of Sligo.
It's been seven years since Westlife have played their last hometown show at The Markievicz Park in 2003, and the country estate house at Lissadell will no doubt provide a beautiful backdrop for the performance. Shane Filan told the Sligo Champion last Thursday, "We were determined to play in Sligo this year, and we're absolutely thrilled to be coming home to Lissadell. This will be a massive weekend for Sligo, and as a band that has its roots here, we are genuinely delighted to be part of it all. We can't wait."
Westlife play Lissadell House on Friday July 30th. Tickets priced from €55.50 go on sale next Monday May 17th at 9am.
