The boyband will also appear on 'Good Morning America' next week

It's hard to believe that Westlife have never toured the US, but the Irish boyband are bound for the States as they have just announced their first-ever North American tour.

Shane Filan, Kian Egan, Nicky Byrne and Mark Feehily made the big announcement yesterday evening.

Although they have never played North America before, now in their 25th year and after 55 million album sales it seems as if the man-band still have territories to conquer.

They'll play several dates in the US and Canada around St. Patrick's Day next year, with gigs set for Toronto, Boston, Chicago and New York - the latter at the famous Radio City Music Hall.

With strong Irish communities in the three American cities, no doubt they'll have no trouble filling their venues - particularly since it's a tour that will showcase some of their biggest hits.

They'll also be making their North American TV debut with an appearance on Good Morning America next week (August 21st) to promote the tour.
