So you think the weather ruined your day today? Several music stars were planning to re-shape the industry today with what is being termed a new "pop star union." Radiohead's Ed O'Brien, Coldplay's Chris Martin, Annie Lennox and Robbie Williams were among the artists set to attend the first meeting of the Featured Artists Coalition in London today, before it was cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.
The FAC, which includes among its directors Blur drummer Dave Rowntree, Kate Nash and Billy Bragg, aims to give artists the opportunity to argue for fair conditions in the industry and intends to discuss issues including copyright extension and new strategies in relation to digital technology.
Today's meeting was cancelled after huge amounts of snowfall caused Transport for London to cancel all bus services in the city, with trains and tube services also affected. The meeting will be rescheduled for a future date.
