Despite selling upwards of 120 million records throughout the course of his career, it's difficult to dispute the fact that George Michael has been traversing a downward slope towards irrelevancy in the last few years as, shall we say, social indiscretions have begun to obscure his music.

Is all that about to end, though? Our George is back with a brand new single called 'Let Her Down Easy' from his soon-to-be released sixth solo effort Symphonica, which is due for release in the middle of March.

The video features relatively unknown actress Hannah Jones in a circus themed romp and is a reworking of Terence Trent D'Arby's track of the same name from 1993. D'Arby's track reached a fairly mediocre #18 in the UK charts at the time and any repeat of that number in the charts would surely be considered a disappointment.

George Michael 2.0? Time will tell on that one.
