Last week, it was announced that both Prince and George Michael would receive a performance tribute at this year's Grammys, although the artists involved were kept under wraps.
Last night, we found out that Adele would be doffing her cap to the latter, while Bruno Mars took on the Prince tribute dressed in full 'Purple Rain' era regalia.
While Adele suffered a few difficulties during her track, Mars's tribute to the late icon was roundly praised, with many hailing it as the performance of the night.
Morris Day, a longtime collaborator of Prince's and frontman of The Time, first played 'The Bird', before Mars joined them to perform a celebratory 'Let's Go Crazy'.

Bruno Mars' purpose in life was to perform this Prince tribute. This is literally what he was born for.
