The main song of the 1991 film, also called Beauty & the Beast, was performed by Lansbury in the original film. The song won the Academy Award for Best Original Song, the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song, and the Grammy Award for Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television and Other Visual Media.
Yesterday, Lansbury surprised and delighted fans of the movie when she turned up to the Beauty & the Beast 25th anniversary screening and sang the title song.
