As sadly reported earlier in the week, Tom Petty passed away at the age of 66 and left behind an incredible body of music.

Without a doubt, his best-known song is the 1989 hit I Won't Back Down and it was that song that was sung by 90,000 fans at a recent American football game in his native Florida. The game, between the Florida Gators and LSU Tigers, reached a commercial break and saw the crowd break into song when the music came on over the PA.
