There's a lot of interesting limited edition releases hitting shelves this Saturday (April 16th) to celebrate Record Store Day. Among them is a split 7" single from our own Villagers and Charlotte Gainsbourg.
Villagers main man Conor O'Brien wrote the song 'Memoir' specifically for the iconic frenchman Serge Gainsbourg's daughter, and co-produced the track with the help of Feist collaborator Renaud Letang. The song will be backed by the 'Becoming A Jackal' album track 'Set The Tigers Free'. Disgustingly talented man that he is, O'Brien also drew the cover art (above) for the single.
While Gainsbourg has plans to release 'Memoir' as a digital single on April 25th, as well as on an upcoming double album 'Live and Unreleased', the single isn't the only thing O'Brien has lined up for Record Store Day. He is also releasing a live album, recorded at The Workman's Club here in Dublin. The album will also be a limited edition vinyl released on Domino Records.
Some elements are not supported yet for this mobile version.
