You may remember a recent story about the video for Shakira's new song 'Loca'. The Columbian former belly dancer had a run in with Spanish police for scantily clad frolicking in a fountain while shooting the video in Barcelona. This, apparently, is a whole lot less raunchy than originally intended, as Shakira reportedly scrapped the original idea for the video so that Dizzee Rascal could feature.
A source told The Daily Star, "The lyrics of 'Loca' are about Shakira being crazy so she wanted a video that really showed her personality. She decided it would look great having Dizzee film her larking around and capturing it all in YouTube-style clips.
"In some scenes, he points the lens at himself so it’s clear who is recording. It’s a much more natural vibe with Shakira running around causing mayhem in Barcelona.
"It’s funny because Dizzee was actually about to go on holiday to Richard Branson’s Necker Island but he dropped everything to join her."
'Loca' will feature on Shakira's upcoming, mostly Spanish, album 'Sale el Sole', which will also include the top selling World Cup hit, 'Waka Waka'.
Anyway, the point of all this is that the video is set to premiere next week, and we'll have the Irish exclusive right here on entertainment.ie next Wednesday September 29th. We can't wait!
