The 77-year-old releases a new album in March, too
It's rare that you get to see someone of Van Morrison's stature in a small venue these days, but the Belfast man is coming to Dublin for a reasonably intimate gig early next year.
Morrison has come under fire from some quarters in recent years for his anti-lockdown and anti-Covid stance, releasing an album that contained several 'Covid protest' songs this year and in 2021.
Nevertheless, the 77-year-old will play Dublin's 3Olympia Theatre on February 27th 2023, in advance of his new album 'Moving on Skiffle', which will be released in March.
As the title suggests, the album revisits Morrison's love of skiffle - the genre he started out playing back as a schoolkid in Belfast.
Tickets for the gig go on sale this coming Friday, December 2nd from Ticketmaster at 9am.
