Fresh from their performance of Daft Punk material at the inaugural Forbidden Fruit festival on the grounds of the Royal Hospital in Kilmainhaim, the Trinity Orchestra have been invited to perform at Electric Picnic. The collective brings together some of the most talented musicians in the country, all of whom are either students or staff in Trinity College, and were one of the most anticapted (and well received) acts at last weekend's festival. It would seem that the Trinity Orchestra are a perfect fit for Electric Picnic, a festival known for not just showcasing internationally renowned acts but also finding slots for groups who fit into the slightly off-centre ethos of the weekend (see also: Dublin Gospel Choir).
