Last year, Radiohead's Thom Yorke released his second solo album 'Tomorrow's Modern Boxes' via new music model BitTorrent Bundles.
At the time, Yorke described the release as an 'experiment', as BitTorrent Bundles combines free downloads with paid products. Basically, users must pay a certain amount to get behind the 'gate' and access the album's files.
The album was subsequently downloaded 4.4 million times, and the price point was $6 (€5) a pop - which means that Yorke may have netted up to $20 million (€16 million) for the album. Not bad.
Radiohead are currently in the 'fumbling' stages of making their new album. Their last release was The King of Limbs in 2011.
